Fiction or Non-Fiction

Our house went on the market late last night. Our realtor put it online this morning along with her comments which just made Tony and me LAUGH. Although they are all true, it sounds hilarious to have it said about your home. Very realtor-y.

“A Dream!! Mostly brick 2 story. Oversized yard with 8 fruit trees and large oak, covered oversized patio. NEW Carpet and ceramic tile in the large open kitchen/breakfast THIS WEEK!!! Master suite has nice sitting area/reading nook, large closet, dramatic arched window, super high ceilings, garden tub, double sinks and more! 5 ceiling fans. Powder room for guests downstairs. Fresh interior paint. Check out the cute kids rooms. Immaculate, impeccable. Ready for YOU now!”

Ahem.

  1. I was HIGHLY offended when they listed our house in Temple as a ‘cute cottage’ — ’cause EVERYONE knows that means you can open the front door from the toilet!

    I!! LIKE! HOW YOUR REALTOR!!! APPRECIATES THE USE!!! OF CAPITAL LETTERS!!!! AND EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!!! She and I would get along GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. You have all worked to hard this summer! I WONDER if your realtor’s favorite part of her job is writing the LISTING descriptions?!!!!

    I hope you find a buyer about 15 days before move-in to the new house, timing it perfectly so you DON’t have to move to an apartment AND pay rent. :-}

Tell me what ya think.
